This place was clean for being a discount inn. I enjoyed my stay very much. It was comfy.

Came off the BC Ferry from Prince Rupert. Pioneer Inn was perfect for us as we just needed a shower and a few hours sleep before continuing on to Victoria. Reasonable easy to find. Close to the ferry terminal but best if you have a vehicle. Fairly busy place at 11:30pm after the ferry arrives. Clean. Reasonably comfortable. Not new or modern but just enough for our needs. The most important point: pet friendly.

The second year in a row a group of us have stayed for five days. Perfectly located to explore the area and launch boats in Coal Harbour. The owner is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate for staying in the rugged north island area. I don't know if the TV worked and didn't care to find out. I was too busy watching the eagles out of my window!
